Mission & Purpose
The Cincinnati Eye Institute Foundation opened the Roselawn Eye Clinic in January 2008. The clinic is located inside Roselawn Lutheran Church and is run by volunteer doctors and staff. Roselawn is open one or two Saturdays a month, depending on volunteer availability. Patients receive a free comprehensive medical eye exam and, if needed, a free pair of glasses provided by OneSight, A Luxottica Group Foundation. If a serious condition is discovered, the clinic helps patients find the ongoing care or surgical services they need. If prescription eye medications are needed, the clinic will help patients apply to pharmaceutical companies with patient assistance programs. The clinic accepts patients from the Greater Cincinnati area.
To qualify for services, patients must be 18 or older, have no current eye care provider, have no medical insurance, and meet certain annual household income requirements. Proof of eligibility is required and no services will be provided without proof of income. The clinic is by appointment only; no walk-ins.
